I painted this on location one Saturday morning by the Arno in Florence. I was drawn to this composition with the bridge in the foreground and some fishermen visible in the distance as the focal point. I also liked the contrast between some of the muted colours of the grass and river and the colourful nets and buckets of the fishermen.

• This is an original, unframed oil painting on linen canvas board, size 30 x 40cm (approx 12 x 16 inches).

• Created with high quality professional grade michael harding oil paints, cotton canvas board and finished with gamvar gloss varnish.

• Signed on the front.

• Titled, dated and a list of materials on the back.
