I painted this cityscape one morning on location near the Arno in Florence. I wanted to capture the mood of the Arno and nearby buildings under the soft light breaking through the clouds. I thought the nearby Churches (Chiesa di San Frediano in Cestello and the Basilica di Santo Spirito) prodivided two nice focal points for the painting.

• This is an original oil painting on linen canvas board, size 20 x 30cm (approx 8 x 12 inches).

• Created with high quality professional grade michael harding oil paints, linen canvas board and finished with gamvar gloss varnish.
